This mild sugar surfactant is a readily biodegradable detergent. It reduces the potential for skin irritation and is well tolerated by mucous membranes. We use it in our acnederm products for its powerful cleansing effect without damaging the skin.

Lactic acid, derived from plant fermentation, is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and a component of the Natural Moisturizing Factor. It helps remove dead skin cells, creating a smoother and more radiant complexion. Its pore- and skin-clearing effect helps combat blemishes and acne-prone skin.

We extract our citric acid from plant substrate through a fermentation process. The resulting substance is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA).
